Sun Salutation Forward Folds
(Surya Namaskara)

Begin in Mountain Pose with your palms at heart center, then inhale and sweep your arms up overhead toward the light, like a daffodil reaching for spring's first warm rays. Exhale and swan dive forward with straight arms, folding over your legs like a flower bowing to the earth that nurtured its growth. Inhale and slowly roll up vertebra by vertebra, your arms sweeping back up to the sky, repeating this flowing cycle of eternal renewal.

Opening the Gate (Kai Men)
Practice: Willow Breath (Repeat 6x)
1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees soft, spine tall like a willow trunk.
2. Inhale as arms float gently outward, palms facing forward—opening the gate to receive the day.
3. Pause with arms extended, sensing the breeze between fingers, the spaciousness of possibility.
4. Exhale as arms sweep inward, crossing at the wrists before settling palms over the heart.
5. Let the hands drift down to the lower belly, anchoring the breath in your center.
6. Repeat 6 times, letting each cycle feel like a quiet unfurling into new life.
Benefits: Opens chest and lungs, clears emotional stagnation, enhances breath awareness, invites renewal and gentle courage.
